AZ ECAP is a required four year plan for all Arizona high school students. Students will meet with their individual high school counselors to create this plan. This plan helps students take appropriate courses for their chosen path after high school. Below you will find the minimum requirements for AZ State Universities. Keep in mind these are the minimum and many schools often look for students with far higher qualifications. The second table represents an appropriate college/career preparation plan for all students.

Our best advice to students is to enroll in the Honors or AP classes offered in your best subjects and plan your other courses around this idea. Not all students should be in all Honors level courses, and not all students should only be placed in regular level courses. ALL students should be challenged while in high school and our best advice is to take harder courses in your best subject areas. Also consider dual-credit options available through Coconino Community College. NACRC advisors and assistants, your high school counselors, and your high school career counselors can all tell you about the opportunities available in Northern Arizona high schools.
