
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES WITHIN THE NACRC
Standardized Test Prep Tutor: help students increase their English and Math skills to succeed on standardized tests. Volunteers are needed for one-on-one tutoring, group tutoring, workshops, proctor practice tests, and more (8 hr a month minimum commitment)
Center Assistants: help walk-in students with essay writing, financial aid applications, college search questions, test prep assistance, help students navigate NACRC facility resources as well as online resources; potential to cross over with workshop facilitator position (12 hr a month minimum commitment)
Occupational Mentor (*DIGITAL*): work via phone/email with students who are interested in your occupation, students would contact you wanting to learn more about what steps you took to get to your current career, what you liked and didn't like, etc.; if possible (for community members) assist students who are interested in job shadowing experiences, college juniors/seniors are also needed for this database to chat with students who are interested in a variety of majors to discuss different college programs
Parent Mentor (*DIGITAL*) : Assist other parents, especially first-generation, with tips of the trade of your role as a college student's parent, this position is a digital position and you would be included in a database that would be accessible to other parents who would like to chat to a parent who already has a child that has gone/ is in college
All In Center Volunteer Positions require a semester long commitment to help us keep continuity for the students
