Here at the NACRC we have many connections with Northern Arizona University's Educational Opportunity Centers as well as Coconino Community College's Adult Education Division. We will have one adult education advisor in our center every week and we would be happy to set up an appointment for any adult learners interested in speaking with an advisor specialized in adult learners. Here at the NACRC we also offer an extensive career database system for adult learners to use free of charge. Below you will find some basic information about both of these departments courtesy of NAU's and CCC's websites.

Mission of Adult Education at CCC
  • To offer a means for those lacking a high school diploma to obtain a GED.
  • To provide the basic education, communication, and technology skills necessary to successfully gain or improve employment.
  • To prepare second-language learners with the English language and technology skills needed to achieve citizenship and integration into public life.
  • To promote the desire to pursue life long learning
Vision:
CCC Adult Education, A Better You - A Better WORLD.

Purpose
As the need for a more skilled workforce continues to grow at an exponential rate, available and affordable access to basic education and life skills has become a necessity. Recognizing that many may be lacking the skills to adequately compete in this environment, the Coconino County Consortium provides adults of all backgrounds the opportunity to maximize their potential by equipping them with the skills necessary to improve their overall quality of life while becoming productive citizens of the community.

Courses
  • Adult Basic Education (ABE) - for learners who need to improve basic reading, writing, and mathematics skills.
  • GED Preparation provides instruction in the five content areas of the GED Test: Language Arts; Reading and Writing; Social Studies; Science; and Mathematics.
  • Distance Learning is for learners who want to prepare for the GED Test through distance learning.
  • English Language Acquisition for Adults (ELAA) is for people who want to learn the English language.
